This Privacy Policy applies to information that Lasso Marketing, Inc., its affiliates, and subsidiaries (“Lasso,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, receives, uses, and shares about individuals (“users”) transmitted from desktop, mobile devices, and/or internet-connected television (“Devices”) via our Services (as defined below).

Lasso Services
Lasso is an online advertising technology platform specializing in media buying (“Platform”). Through the Platform, advertisers (“Clients”) can place advertisements on websites, mobile apps, and other media properties (“Media Inventory”) belonging to publishers with whom Lasso buys media from. The Platform uses data and technology to help Clients deliver relevant advertisements via the Media Inventory (“Services”).
Types of Information We Collect
If an advertisement is delivered to a user through the Platform, certain information may be collected from that experience. Note that some of this information (such as IP addresses and other unique identifiers) may be considered “personal data”. The information collected may include the following:
Information about a User’s Interactions with Media Inventory. This includes information about the Media Inventory visited by a user, the date and time of such visits to Media Inventory, and geolocation (including city, state, country, zip code, and geographic coordinates).
Information about a User’s Browser. This includes information about a user’s browser type, browser language, browser settings, and cookie information.
Information about a User’s Device. This includes information about a user’s IP address, device type, device operating system, device make and model, device identifiers such as Mobile Advertising ID’s.
Information about a User’s Interactions with Advertisements. This includes information about the type of advertisement, where the advertisement was delivered, whether the advertisement was clicked on.
Sources of Collected Information
Lasso receives data from its Clients and Third Party media buying and data management platforms that separately collect user information from visits to various websites or applications.
How Lasso Uses Personal Information
Lasso uses the data it receives for:
Providing Services. User information is used to enable Clients to control the delivering of advertisements through the Platform. In some cases, it is also used to validate and report on advertising performance.
Business Transitions. In case of a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, user information may be among the assets transferred.
Legal Obligations. Lasso may provide access to user information, including personally identifiable information, when legally required to do so, to comply with a court order, to cooperate with police investigations or other legal proceedings.
Disclosed and Other Purposes. User information may be used for any purposes disclosed to a user at the time such information is received or as otherwise stated in this Platform Privacy Policy.
Information Collected by 3rd Parties
Lasso Clients, Partners, Vendors (as defined below), and each of their third-party service providers (collectively, “Third Parties”) may use their own or their affiliates’ cookies, and/or other internet technology within advertisements and on the Media Inventory. Lasso does not control the information collection and usage practices of these Third Parties.
Sharing User Information
User information may be shared in the following cases:
Technology Vendors. Lasso may share user information with technology vendors to support for purposes of maintenance and improvement of the Platform and Services; Functionality and performance support for purposes of providing Clients with services; Third-party services that provide software, networking, storage, and other related technology required to run the Platform.
Affiliates. Lasso may share user information with Lasso affiliates, subsidiaries, and parent companies to use for the purposes described in this Platform Privacy Policy.
Business Transitions. In case of a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, user information may be among the assets transferred.
Legal Obligations. Lasso may provide access to user information, including personally identifiable information, when legally required to do so, to comply with a court order, to cooperate with police investigations or other legal proceedings.
User Information Retention
Lasso keeps user personal data as long as it is necessary for the purposes set forth in this Platform Privacy Policy (such as for legitimate business purposes and as permitted by applicable law).
Security
Lasso uses industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect user information from unauthorized access and improper use. Lasso takes appropriate commercially reasonable precautions to protect user information.
User Controls
Users have options to opt-out of receiving advertisements that Lasso Clients may deliver through the Platform.
Opt-Out Mechanisms: Users wanting to opt-out of advertising provided by Lasso may use this opt-out tool, provided with partnership from TrustArc, here. Lasso adheres to Digital Advertising Alliance’s (“DDA”) Self-Regulatory Principles, and users can opt-out of targeted advertising by participating companies (including Lasso) at: http://www.aboutadvertisements.info/choices/.
Electing to opt-out will not stop advertising from appearing on a user’s device, however the advertisements delivered will be less relevant. If a user initiates an opt-out, Lasso will no longer serve targeted advertisements on that browser on such Device. Users may be required to opt-out again if their devices and browsers change.
Data Rights as a California Resident
Users who are California residents have certain rights with regard to Information classified as “personal information” according to applicable data privacy laws in California (including the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”)). Users have the right to:
Request we disclose to you free of charge the following information covering the 12 months preceding your request:
the categories of Personal Information about you that we collected;
the categories of sources from which the Personal Information was collected;
the purpose for collecting Personal Information about you;
the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed Personal Information about you and the categories of Personal Information that was disclosed (if applicable) and the purpose for disclosing the Personal Information about you; and
the specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you;
Request we delete Personal Information we collected from you, unless the CCPA recognizes an exception;
Opt-Out from our sale of personal information (detailed below); and
Be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising your rights under the CCPA
Opting-Out (“Do Not Sell My Personal Information”): If you are 16 years of age or older, you have the right to direct us to not sell your personal information at any time (the "right to opt-out"). We do not sell the personal information of consumers we actually know are less than 16 years of age. Consumers who opt-in to personal information sales may opt-out of future sales at any time.
Users who wish to submit such requests or exercise such rights can click here. Lasso will need to verify user identity before responding to requests.
We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you.
We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make the request.
We will acknowledge receipt of your request and advise you how long we expect it will take to respond if we are able to verify your identity. Requests for specific pieces of Personal Information will require additional information to verify your identity.
If you submit a request on behalf of another person, we may require proof of authorization and verification of identity directly from the person for whom you are submitting a request.
In some instances, we may not be able to honor your request. For example, we will not honor your request if we cannot verify your identity or if we cannot verify that you have the authority to make a request on behalf of another individual. Additionally, we will not honor your request where an exception applies, such as where the disclosure of Personal Information would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of another consumer or where the Personal Information that we maintain about you is not subject to the CCPA’s access or deletion rights. We will advise you in our response if we are not able to honor your request.
We will work to process all verified requests within 45 days pursuant to the CCPA. If we need an extension for up to an additional 45 days in order to process your request, we will provide you with an explanation for the delay.
If you are a California resident, you may designate an authorized agent to make a request to access or a request to delete on your behalf. Lasso will respond to your authorized agent's request if they submit proof that they are registered with the California Secretary of State to be able to act on your behalf, or submit evidence you have provided them with power of attorney pursuant to California Probate Code section 4000 to 4465. Lasso may deny requests from authorized agents who do not submit proof that they have been authorized by you to act on their behalf, or are unable to verify their identity within two (2) business days of submitting a request.
Children’s Privacy
Lasso does not direct advertisements via the Platform to children under the age of 16 years old or knowingly collect information from children under the age of 16 years old. If you are a parent of a child under 16 and you believe we have collected information about your child, you may contact us here and at any time you may require us to correct or delete the personal information of your child.
Policy Changes
If Lasso changes its privacy practices, Lasso will post those changes to this Platform Privacy Policy and will update the notice’s effective date. Lasso reserves the right to change this Platform Privacy Policy at any time.
